A Collection of Transfeminine Resources I Wish I'd Seen/Read/Found Earlier

HIIII BTW THIS IS SOOO INCOMPLETE. i dont even got like a third the links i wanna put here

Part 1: Emotion and Self-Reckoning (💌🫂)

O Human Star — A comic!

This is actually the comic that made me realize I wanted to transition— that made me realize I wanted to be seen as a woman when I grew up— and a billion other new things. I don't even know how I found the comic in the first place, but it ended up rocking my life. It only takes a few hours to read. The author advises that readers be 16 years of age minimum due to mature content and themes.

Turn Me Into A Girl! — An interactive site!

"So you want to be a girl? If you're uncomfortable the way you are, or even if you're just curious, there's nothing stopping you from living a better life."

This could help you get a bit closer to the bottom of the big question— "Am I really trans?" I know it did for me, even though I was already three months into my transition when I found it (OOPS)

Part 2, The Buy One Get One Free Combo: Non-Medical Transitioning and Misc Advice

L's Voice Training Guide — A guide! (duh)

A really in-depth guide to training your voice to sound naturally feminine. No, this probably won't be fun. Yes, this takes months. Unless you have previous experience in voice acting or voice training, this won't be easy, but it will be doable. It's a very long process that relies on perseverence and consistency in study, but that everyone can do.

Sites to avoid:

  • r/transtimelines. I know this sounds tempting to go and look at, and there are some posts that can fill you with hope. But overall it's a pretty negative experience that just leads to you constantly obsessing over your speed of transition in comparison to others, which just isn't healthy. It will straight up increase your anxiety and fear. There are dozens of better ways to "measure if your transition is going fast enough" and none of them involve comparing yourself to others.
  • r/transvoice. It's a subreddit filled with some of the most harsh and self critical people out there. Your voice could sound completely naturally from-birth-feminine and some people there would tell you that your voice sounds clocky.

Part 3: Science (😨) and The Dreaded Medical Nerdstuff (😨)

An Introduction to Hormone Therapy for Transfeminine People — An article!

Possibly the most useful and informative article you could read about transfeminine gender affirming hormone therapy. It provides a solid explanation of sex hormones in general, a transition timeline of effects, the science behind it, different ways to take hormones, so much more, and also has LOADS of references— This article truly is THE introduction to feminizing hormone therapy. I'll be linking a few more articles from transfemscience.
